MOYER MASTERS KNOXVILLE AGAIN FOR $7,000 WIN!
September 18, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) tackled another crown jewel event over the September 15-17 weekend in the Hawkeye State, as the historic Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa played host to the 13th Annual 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the three-day spectacular at the Marion County Fairgrounds oval, which started with a pair of $7,000 to win preliminary showdowns. At Knoxville on Thursday night, Billy Moyer dominated by winning his heat race prior to leading all twenty-five circuits in the headliner en route to capturing the $7,000 payday over Brandon Sheppard, Josh Richards, Shane Clanton, and Jimmy Mars! On Friday evening, Billy ran fourth in his heat race, sixth in the B-Main, and twenty-third in the 25-lapper after slowing to bring out the caution flag on lap twelve due to a vibration.

By virtue of accumulating the seventh most points during the unique format, Billy locked himself into the inside of the fourth row for the start of Saturday's 100-lap 'Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals' finale, which once again carried a stout $40,000 winner's share. Despite running out of fuel late in the distance, the Batesville, Arkansas superstar held on to finish fifth in the extra-distance affair behind only victor Mike Marlar, Scott Bloomquist, Bobby Pierce, and Shane Clanton. BILLY MOYER FOURTH IN WORLD 100 PRELIM
September 11, 2016 ---
The #21 team pulled into the pit area at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 8-10 for the 46th version of the famed 'World 100.' The three-day crown jewel extravaganza at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant drew 108 competitors and things kicked off at Eldora with a pair of $10,000 to win Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Billy Moyer ran third in his heat race prior to moving past seven competitors in his 25-lap feature en route to a strong fourth place performance behind only victor Matt Miller, Shannon Babb, and Dennis Erb, Jr. At the "Big E" on Friday evening, Billy won his heat race, but later slipped back to fourteenth in his 25-lapper.

When the calendar flipped to Saturday, all eyes were fixated on the 'Biggest Dirt Race in the World,' which boasted a $49,000 top prize and the famed globe trophy. Billy placed fourth in his stacked heat race and seventh in his B-Main. Both of those finishes narrowly kept the Batesville, Arkansas standout out of what could have been his final 'World 100.' MOYER WINS $5K AT FARMER CITY; RUNNER-UP AT BIG E!

"Mr. Smooth" Billy Moyer racked up his ninth feature victory of the 2016 racing season on Friday night, September 2 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois! In what could be his final start at the fairgrounds bullring where he has captured numerous wins throughout his illustrious career, Billy laid down the quickest lap in his group during American Late Model Series (ALMS) qualifying prior to winning his heat race. After starting the headliner from the pole position, Billy led each and every circuit en route to bagging the $5,000 windfall over Bobby Pierce, Jason Feger, Ryan Unzicker, and Kevin Weaver!

Following a day off on Saturday, the #21 team rolled into the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday evening, September 4 for the annual running of the 'Baltes Classic.' Billy timed in twenty-fourth fastest overall during the ALMS qualifying session and later ran second in heat race action. The Batesville, Arkansas superstar then rallied from his eighth starting spot in the $3,000 to win main event to earn a strong runner-up performance behind only victor Kent Robinson. BILLY MOYER POCKETS $5,000 AT GRANITE CITY!!!
August 28, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer's 2016 win total now stands at eight following a MARS DIRTcar Series triumph on Friday night, August 26 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois! Billy, who has enjoyed a myriad of success at the St. Louis-area facility throughout his Hall of Fame career, won his heat race in preliminary action prior to starting the headliner from the outside of the front row. The Batesville, Arkansas superstar then dominated the A-Main to pocket the $5,000 top prize over Bobby Pierce, Jesse Stovall, Gordy Gundaker, and Will Vaught!

The #21 BMR team also competed in $5,000 to win MARS DIRTcar Series programs on Thursday at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois and on Saturday evening at Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri. At Lincoln, Billy won his heat race and later claimed a strong third place podium performance in the 40-lapper behind only winner Bobby Pierce and runner-up Ryan Unzicker. In the weekend finale at Pevely, "Mr. Smooth" set Fast Time in qualifying, won his heat race, but later wound up eighteenth in the final finishing order of the 40-lap feature after experiencing a broken rear-end late in the distance. MOYER IN TOP TEN IN $80,000 WEEKEND AT FLORENCE!
August 14, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) traveled to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 11-13 for both the rain-postponed 'Ralph Latham Memorial' and the 34th Annual 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the huge three-day weekend in the Cincinnati-area, as a whopping $80,000 in first place prize money was up for grabs. On Thursday night, Billy Moyer laid down the quickest lap overall during qualifying for the 'Ralph Latham Memorial' and later ran second in his stacked heat race. After starting the $30,000 to win headliner from the inside of the fourth row, Billy climbed all the way up to third in the 75-lapper before eventually winding up sixth at the checkered flag.

In preliminary action for the 'North/South 100' on Friday evening, which included double heat races with passing points, Billy placed third in his first heat race and second in his final prelim of the night. After accumulating the sixth most passing points in those heat races, the Batesville, Arkansas superstar rolled off from the outside of the third row in Saturday's 100-lap crown jewel main event, which boasted a $50,000 payday. Billy raced around the top five through much of the extra-distance affair before slipping back to eighth in the final finishing order. BILLY MOYER SOLID THROUGHOUT USA NATIONALS

Billy Moyer and his #21 team descended upon the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from August 4-6 for the 29th edition of the 'USA Nationals.' The three-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series extravaganza started with a $6,000 to win preliminary event on Thursday evening at CLS. Billy laid down the third quickest lap in Group A during time trials and later ran second in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row in the 30-lapper, Billy was able to muscle past four competitors en route to a strong fifth place performance behind only winner Josh Richards, Rick Eckert, Jason Feger, and Steve Casebolt!

On Friday, Billy posted the ninth fastest time in Group A during the qualifying session prior to once again running second in heat race action. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then started Saturday's $50,000 to win crown jewel main event from the outside of the fourth row and ran amongst the top five through much of the 100-lap grind. At the conclusion of the 'USA Nationals,' Billy found himself in the sixth finishing position behind only victor Josh Richards, Jonathan Davenport, Eric Wells, Bobby Pierce, and Brian Shirley. MOYER COMPETES IN PDC WEEKEND AT FAIRBURY
July 31, 2016 ---
The 27th Annual 'Prairie Dirt Classic' weekend was the focus of the #21 BMR team on July 29-30 at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois. A $27,000 winner's check was on the line in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series special. On Friday night, Billy Moyer qualified sixteenth quickest in Group B during time trials prior to running seventh in his loaded heat race.

Following an eighth place effort in Saturday's consolation event, Billy advanced up to third in the $2,000 to win Non-Qualifiers Race. The highlight of the weekend for the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer came late on Friday evening when he blasted past eleven competitors in the 'FALS Draw Showdown' to bag a fifth place performance in the $5,000 to win dash behind only winner Josh Richards, Tim McCreadie, Joe Harlan, and Derek Chandler. BILLY MOYER RUNNER-UP IN SILVER DOLLAR NATS!

The next event on the calendar for the #21 team was a visit to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 22-23 for the 6th Annual 'Silver Dollar Nationals,' which was co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series and boasted a whopping $40,000 payday. The unique format kicked off on Friday night with double heat races and passing points set the lineup for Saturday's portion of the program. Billy Moyer ran fourth in his first heat race on Friday prior to winning his final prelim of the evening. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row in Saturday's 80-lap crown jewel main event, Billy stormed all the way up to second to finish an impressive runner-up behind only victor Jonathan Davenport! MOYER TACKLES GRANITE CITY & WHEATLAND...

Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) tackled a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series shows over the July 15-16 weekend at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. On Friday night in the $10,000 to win 'Battle at the Beach 50' at Granite City, Billy Moyer set Fast Time during qualifying and won his heat race before slipping back to ninth at the finish of the rugged 50-lapper. At Wheatland on Saturday evening in the $12,000 to win 'CMH Diamond Nationals,' Billy ran second in heat race action prior to claiming an eleventh place effort in the 60-lap headliner. Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer recorded his sixth feature win of the 2016 racing season in convincing fashion on Saturday night, July 9 at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois! Billy swept the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals program, as he laid down the quickest lap of the 30 entrants during the qualifying session prior to scoring the victory in heat race action. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then led all forty circuits in the 'Todd & Colleen Penrod Memorial' to score the $10,000 windfall over Devin Gilpin, Bobby Pierce, Chad Zobrist, and Jason Feger!

The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team also entered recent "Hell Tour" extravaganzas at Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois and Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. BILLY MOYER POSTS TRIO OF RUNNER-UPS IN ILLINOIS!

Billy Moyer and his #21 BMR team entered a trio of $10,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals shows from June 23-25 in the Land of Lincoln. Things started on Thursday night at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois. Billy knocked down the third fastest lap in Group B during qualifying prior to scoring a heat race victory. After starting third on the grid in the 50-lap headliner, Billy put forth a strong effort and eventually found himself second at the checkers behind only race winner Dennis Erb, Jr.

Friday's "Hell Tour" stop was at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and another $10,000 top prize was on the line. Billy won his heat race in preliminary action and led early in the 40-lapper for several circuits before winding up with another runner-up performance behind only victor Bobby Pierce. On Saturday evening, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" was in the pit area at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois for another Summer Nationals program, which boasted a $10,000 payday. Billy Moyer's 2016 win total now stands at five following a weekend sweep of the annual 'Masters' on June 17-18 at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin! On Friday night, Billy timed in second quickest in UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals qualifying prior to scoring the victory in his heat race. After starting the 40-lapper from the pole position, Billy led each and every circuit en route to the convincing $5,000 triumph over Jason Krohn, Chris Simpson, Bobby Pierce, and Jimmy Mars!

At CLS on Saturday evening, Billy knocked down the fastest lap overall during Summer Nationals time trials and once again claimed a win in heat race action. After drawing the pole position again before the drop of the green flag in the 50-lap headliner, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" led laps 1 and 26-50 to bag the $10,000 windfall for his 92nd career UMP Summer Nationals victory over Bobby Pierce, Jason Feger, Mike Marlar, and Jason Krohn!

Earlier in the extended weekend, the #21 team was in the pit area at Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois on Thursday, June 16 for the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals lid lifter. BILLY MOYER LANDS IN TOP FIVE IN DREAM PRELIMS
June 12, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) rolled into the pit area at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 9-11 for the 22nd edition of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' The dirt-slinging action got underway at the "Big E" with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Billy Moyer ran second in his heat race and climbed up to second in the $5,000 to win headliner before winding up third behind only victor Brandon Sheppard and runner-up Ricky Thornton, Jr. In Friday's $10,000 to win show, Billy placed second in heat race action prior to claiming a solid fourth place performance in the 25-lap sprint behind only victor Brandon Sheppard, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Bobby Pierce.

Things then heated up in a big way on Saturday evening at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, as a whopping $100,000 winner's check was up for grabs in 'Dream XXII.' Billy slipped back to seventh in his stacked heat race, but received a provisional based on his preliminary efforts that enabled him to start nineteenth on the grid in the 100-lap headliner. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then retired early in what could have been his final 'Dirt Late Model Dream' and was relegated to a twenty-sixth place showing. MOYER BAGS $2,000 UMP WIN AT TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY!

A last minute decision to invade Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday evening, June 3 netted Billy Moyer his third feature victory of the 2016 racing season! Billy swept the UMP Super Late Model portion of the program, as he posted the fastest lap in his group during qualifying before winning both his heat race and the fast dash. In the feature, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" beat Tim Manville, Billy Laycock, Jeff Herzog, and Michael Kloos to the checkered flag to record the $2,000 triumph!
