MOYER IN TOP TEN IN $80,000 WEEKEND AT FLORENCE!
August 14, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) traveled to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 11-13 for both the rain-postponed 'Ralph Latham Memorial' and the 34th Annual 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series presided over the huge three-day weekend in the Cincinnati-area, as a whopping $80,000 in first place prize money was up for grabs. On Thursday night, Billy Moyer laid down the quickest lap overall during qualifying for the 'Ralph Latham Memorial' and later ran second in his stacked heat race. After starting the $30,000 to win headliner from the inside of the fourth row, Billy climbed all the way up to third in the 75-lapper before eventually winding up sixth at the checkered flag.

In preliminary action for the 'North/South 100' on Friday evening, which included double heat races with passing points, Billy placed third in his first heat race and second in his final prelim of the night. After accumulating the sixth most passing points in those heat races, the Batesville, Arkansas superstar rolled off from the outside of the third row in Saturday's 100-lap crown jewel main event, which boasted a $50,000 payday. Billy raced around the top five through much of the extra-distance affair before slipping back to eighth in the final finishing order. BILLY MOYER SOLID THROUGHOUT USA NATIONALS
August 7, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer and his #21 team descended upon the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin from August 4-6 for the 29th edition of the 'USA Nationals.' The three-day World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series extravaganza started with a $6,000 to win preliminary event on Thursday evening at CLS. Billy laid down the third quickest lap in Group A during time trials and later ran second in his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row in the 30-lapper, Billy was able to muscle past four competitors en route to a strong fifth place performance behind only winner Josh Richards, Rick Eckert, Jason Feger, and Steve Casebolt!

On Friday, Billy posted the ninth fastest time in Group A during the qualifying session prior to once again running second in heat race action. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then started Saturday's $50,000 to win crown jewel main event from the outside of the fourth row and ran amongst the top five through much of the 100-lap grind. At the conclusion of the 'USA Nationals,' Billy found himself in the sixth finishing position behind only victor Josh Richards, Jonathan Davenport, Eric Wells, Bobby Pierce, and Brian Shirley. MOYER COMPETES IN PDC WEEKEND AT FAIRBURY
July 31, 2016 ---
The 27th Annual 'Prairie Dirt Classic' weekend was the focus of the #21 BMR team on July 29-30 at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois. A $27,000 winner's check was on the line in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series special. On Friday night, Billy Moyer qualified sixteenth quickest in Group B during time trials prior to running seventh in his loaded heat race.

Following an eighth place effort in Saturday's consolation event, Billy advanced up to third in the $2,000 to win Non-Qualifiers Race. The highlight of the weekend for the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer came late on Friday evening when he blasted past eleven competitors in the 'FALS Draw Showdown' to bag a fifth place performance in the $5,000 to win dash behind only winner Josh Richards, Tim McCreadie, Joe Harlan, and Derek Chandler. BILLY MOYER RUNNER-UP IN SILVER DOLLAR NATS!
July 24, 2016 ---
The next event on the calendar for the #21 team was a visit to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska on July 22-23 for the 6th Annual 'Silver Dollar Nationals,' which was co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series and boasted a whopping $40,000 payday. The unique format kicked off on Friday night with double heat races and passing points set the lineup for Saturday's portion of the program. Billy Moyer ran fourth in his first heat race on Friday prior to winning his final prelim of the evening. After rolling off from the inside of the fifth row in Saturday's 80-lap crown jewel main event, Billy stormed all the way up to second to finish an impressive runner-up behind only victor Jonathan Davenport! MOYER TACKLES GRANITE CITY & WHEATLAND...
July 17, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) tackled a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series shows over the July 15-16 weekend at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. On Friday night in the $10,000 to win 'Battle at the Beach 50' at Granite City, Billy Moyer set Fast Time during qualifying and won his heat race before slipping back to ninth at the finish of the rugged 50-lapper. At Wheatland on Saturday evening in the $12,000 to win 'CMH Diamond Nationals,' Billy ran second in heat race action prior to claiming an eleventh place effort in the 60-lap headliner. BILLY MOYER SCORES $10,000 WINDFALL AT HIGHLAND!

Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer recorded his sixth feature win of the 2016 racing season in convincing fashion on Saturday night, July 9 at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois! Billy swept the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals program, as he laid down the quickest lap of the 30 entrants during the qualifying session prior to scoring the victory in heat race action. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then led all forty circuits in the 'Todd & Colleen Penrod Memorial' to score the $10,000 windfall over Devin Gilpin, Bobby Pierce, Chad Zobrist, and Jason Feger!

The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team also entered recent "Hell Tour" extravaganzas at Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois and Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. On Wednesday night in a $5,000 to win battle at Peoria, Billy won his heat race and later placed fourth in the caution-free headliner to trail only winner Bobby Pierce, Kevin Weaver, and Jason Feger at the checkers. Billy Moyer laid down the fifth quickest time in Group B during qualifying prior to running second in heat race action. BILLY MOYER POSTS TRIO OF RUNNER-UPS IN ILLINOIS!

Billy Moyer and his #21 BMR team entered a trio of $10,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals shows from June 23-25 in the Land of Lincoln. Things started on Thursday night at Spoon River Speedway in Banner, Illinois. Billy knocked down the third fastest lap in Group B during qualifying prior to scoring a heat race victory. After starting third on the grid in the 50-lap headliner, Billy put forth a strong effort and eventually found himself second at the checkers behind only race winner Dennis Erb, Jr.

Friday's "Hell Tour" stop was at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and another $10,000 top prize was on the line. Billy won his heat race in preliminary action and led early in the 40-lapper for several circuits before winding up with another runner-up performance behind only victor Bobby Pierce. On Saturday evening, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" was in the pit area at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois for another Summer Nationals program, which boasted a $10,000 payday. Billy once again won his heat race prior to leading most of the way in the 50-lap main event before scoring yet another runner-up finish behind only winner Brandon Sheppard. MOYER SWEEPS MASTERS WEEKEND FOR $15,000!

Billy Moyer's 2016 win total now stands at five following a weekend sweep of the annual 'Masters' on June 17-18 at the renowned Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin! On Friday night, Billy timed in second quickest in UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals qualifying prior to scoring the victory in his heat race. After starting the 40-lapper from the pole position, Billy led each and every circuit en route to the convincing $5,000 triumph over Jason Krohn, Chris Simpson, Bobby Pierce, and Jimmy Mars!

At CLS on Saturday evening, Billy knocked down the fastest lap overall during Summer Nationals time trials and once again claimed a win in heat race action. After drawing the pole position again before the drop of the green flag in the 50-lap headliner, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" led laps 1 and 26-50 to bag the $10,000 windfall for his 92nd career UMP Summer Nationals victory over Bobby Pierce, Jason Feger, Mike Marlar, and Jason Krohn!

Earlier in the extended weekend, the #21 team was in the pit area at Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois on Thursday, June 16 for the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals lid lifter. BILLY MOYER LANDS IN TOP FIVE IN DREAM PRELIMS
June 12, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) rolled into the pit area at the hallowed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from June 9-11 for the 22nd edition of the 'Dirt Late Model Dream.' The dirt-slinging action got underway at the "Big E" with a pair of Twin 25 preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Billy Moyer ran second in his heat race and climbed up to second in the $5,000 to win headliner before winding up third behind only victor Brandon Sheppard and runner-up Ricky Thornton, Jr. In Friday's $10,000 to win show, Billy placed second in heat race action prior to claiming a solid fourth place performance in the 25-lap sprint behind only victor Brandon Sheppard, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Bobby Pierce.

Things then heated up in a big way on Saturday evening at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, as a whopping $100,000 winner's check was up for grabs in 'Dream XXII.' Billy slipped back to seventh in his stacked heat race, but received a provisional based on his preliminary efforts that enabled him to start nineteenth on the grid in the 100-lap headliner. The popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then retired early in what could have been his final 'Dirt Late Model Dream' and was relegated to a twenty-sixth place showing. MOYER BAGS $2,000 UMP WIN AT TRI-CITY SPEEDWAY!

A last minute decision to invade Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois on Friday evening, June 3 netted Billy Moyer his third feature victory of the 2016 racing season! Billy swept the UMP Super Late Model portion of the program, as he posted the fastest lap in his group during qualifying before winning both his heat race and the fast dash. In the feature, the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" beat Tim Manville, Billy Laycock, Jeff Herzog, and Michael Kloos to the checkered flag to record the $2,000 triumph! 24TH ANNUAL SHOW-ME 100 NIGHTLY RESULTS...
May 28, 2016 ---
The grand finale of the 24th Annual 'Lucas Oil Show-Me 100' took place in front of a huge crowd tonight at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. Billy Moyer had his sole focus set on bagging the whopping $30,000 payday that was up for grabs in the Memorial Day weekend special. By virtue of his preliminary performances, Billy locked himself into the seventeenth starting spot in tonight's 100-lap extravaganza. In the rough and tumble 'Show-Me 100,' which was contested on a choppy racing surface, Billy wound up retiring early and settling for an eighteenth place showing.

May 27, 2016 --- Another $6,000 top prize was on the line tonight at the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri in a special Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson event, which was once again co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series. Billy Moyer knocked down the third quickest lap in Group A during qualifying prior to scoring the victory in his stacked heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the third row in the 40-lapper, Billy slipped back to eleventh at the checkers tonight at the 3/8-mile speedplant.

May 26, 2016 --- The 24th edition of the 'Lucas Oil Show-Me 100' kicked off tonight at the immaculate Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil MLRA Series co-sanctioned the 'Cowboy Classic' prelim tonight, which drew 57 competitors to vie for the $6,000 winner's check. Billy Moyer qualified fourteenth fastest in Group B during time trials and later placed fourth in heat race action. After scoring the victory in his B-Main, Billy was the first retiree in the 45-lap 'Cowboy Classic' and settled for a twenty-fourth place effort.

 

MOYER TACKLES LUCAS FOES AT OSHKOSH & LASALLE
May 22, 2016 ---
Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) headed to Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois on May 20-21 for a pair of lucrative races with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. On Friday night in the Badger State, Billy Moyer ran second in his heat race prior to slipping back to ninth in the $10,000 to win headliner after starting the 50-lapper from the inside of the fourth row. In the annual 'Spring Shootout' on Saturday evening at LaSalle, which carried a $12,000 winner's check, Billy finished fourth in heat race action and later climbed up to place eleventh at the conclusion of the 60-lap main event. Over a rainy weekend, Billy Moyer and his famed #21 BMR team wound up at Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday evening, May 14 for the annual running of the 'Chuck Hamilton Memorial,' which was sanctioned by the American Late Model Series (ALMS). Billy knocked down the third fastest lap in his group during the time trial session prior to running second in heat race action. After starting the $5,000 to win main event from the outside of the second row, Billy wound up finishing the 50-lapper right where he started... in the fourth position behind only race winner Ryan Unzicker, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Billy Drake. Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer Billy Moyer scored his second victory of the 2016 racing season on Friday night, May 6 at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois! Billy clicked off the third quickest lap in his group during the qualifying session prior to bagging a heat race triumph. Billy then started from the pole in the 'Douglas Dodge 40' and led the final half of the 40-lap race to record the $5,000 windfall over Brandon Sheppard, Kevin Weaver, Dennis Erb, Jr., and Devin Gilpin!

A short trip to Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois then greeted the #21 team on Saturday evening, as another MARS DIRTcar Series and American Late Model Series (ALMS) co-sanctioned event took center stage. Billy knocked down the second fastest time overall during qualifying and later won his heat race in preliminary action. After rolling off from the inside of the second row in the $10,000 to win 'FALS Frenzy,' the popular driver known as "Mr. Smooth" bolted up to second during the 50-lapper before eventually settling for a solid fifth place performance behind only winner Bobby Pierce, Earl Pearson, Jr., Dennis Erb, Jr., and Brandon Sheppard.
