| October 28, 2009 Billy Moyer Charges to Third in Fall Classic at Whynot; Starts Prepping for World Finals (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 Dirt Late Model team invaded the Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi over the October 23-24 weekend for the annual running of the 'Fall Classic.' The unsanctioned, two-day show was highlighted by a $15,000 to win main event. Billy ran second in heat race action on Friday night, which transferred him directly into the 75-lap feature on Saturday evening. After starting tenth on the grid in the 'Fall Classic,' the driver known as "Mr. Smooth" blasted past seven competitors en route to an impressive third place performance behind winner Ronnie Lee Hollingsworth and runner-up Dane Dacus. With the recent postponement of the 'Cotton Pickin 100' at the Magnolia (MS) Motor Speedway, the #21 team has elected to take the upcoming October 30-31 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition. The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will instead prepare their equipment for a huge four-day showdown at the immaculate Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina on November 4-7. The rain-postponed 'Topless Showdown' will take place at the Charlotte area venue on Wednesday, November 4, while the 3rd Annual 'World of Outlaws World Finals' will be held at Lowe's from November 5-7.
