(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) After suffering mechanical problems on Wednesday, October 10 at the Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, which caused Billy Moyer to miss the 'Jani-King Southern Showdown,' the #21 team headed south to the Peachtree State of Georgia. The newly-reconfigured Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia played host to a doubleheader racing weekend.

On Friday night, October 12, a pair of $2,000 to win feature events were held at GIS. Billy timed in sixth quickest in O'Reilly Southern Allstars East Series qualifying and finished a strong third in the first 20-lap A-Main behind winner Earl Pearson, Jr. and runner-up Ivedent Lloyd. The Batesville, Arkansas native then suffered more mechanical problems during the second $2,000 to win main event, as he wound up twenty-first in the final rundown.

The ultra-busy weekend concluded with the 'Battle of Brunswick 60' on Saturday evening, October 13. "Mr. Smooth" qualified sixth fastest once again for the O'Reilly Southern Allstars Series (OSAS) event and later ran second in his competitive heat race. After starting from the outside of the third row for the $10,000 to win A-Main, Billy was able to get by two cars en route to a solid fourth place performance behind winner Matt Miller, Earl Pearson, Jr., and Chris Madden. You can view complete results from the weekend online at www.southern-allstars.com.

Billy and his #21 team will travel to the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Friday and Saturday, October 19-20 for the 4th Annual 'Cotton Pickin' 100.' Pole qualifying and heat races will take place on Friday evening, October 19, while the B-Mains and the 100-lap, $15,000 to win feature event will highlight the action on Saturday night. You can view more information on this year's version of the 'Cotton Pickin' 100' online at www.magnoliamotorspeedway.net.

With Billy set to enjoy (or not enjoy) his 50th birthday this Friday night at Magnolia, fans in attendance are invited to come by the souvenir trailer and sign a special birthday card for Billy. Be sure to help "Mr. Smooth" celebrate the big 5-0 in style this weekend!
