| October 5, 2007 (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing team traveled north to the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa from Thursday-Saturday, September 27-29 for the 4th Annual 'Knoxville Late Model Nationals.' The weekend started out with a pair of $6,000 to win preliminary events on Thursday and Friday evening. Billy wound up eighth in the 25-lap A-Main on Thursday, while he brought his famed #21 entry home in the second spot behind winner Brian Shirley on Friday. By virtue of his strong point night on Friday, "Mr. Smooth" started the 100-lap main event on Saturday from the pole position. Billy ran amongst the leaders throughout this year's version of the 'Knoxville Late Model Nationals' and led several laps during the middle portion of the race. At the conclusion of the $35,000 to win show, the Batesville Arkansas native found himself second to only winner Brady Smith in the final rundown. The cameras of the SPEED Channel were on hand Saturday to tape all of the exciting racing action for broadcast on Friday evening, October 12. "It was a real good weekend for us at Knoxville," stated the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer from his race shop this week. "We were close to getting a couple of wins up there, but just fell a little shy. This new Victory Circle car is getting better and better as the year progresses and I am very excited about it!" Billy and his #21 team have one lone event on their upcoming weekend schedule, as they are set to invade the Checkered Flag Speedway in Hohenwald, Tennessee on Saturday evening, October 6. The Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) will sanction a $5,000 to win show tomorrow evening at the Volunteer State oval.
