| September 30, 2009 Billy Moyer Readies for Knoxville on Heels of Runner-Up Columbus Finish! (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team invaded the Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi last weekend (September 25-27) for the annual running of the 'Magnolia State 100.' The unsanctioned event boasted a hefty $20,009 payday. In preliminary action at the "Baddest Bullring in the South," Billy Moyer timed in third quickest in his group during qualifying and later finished second in his heat race. After starting ninth in the 100-lap main event on Sunday, Billy was able to improve seven positions en route to a strong runner-up performance behind winner Shane Clanton. The #21 team will now slide their attention to the 6th annual running of the 'Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals.' The immaculate Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa will host the big purse mega-event this weekend. A pair of $7,000 to win preliminary shows will kick off the weekend on Thursday and Friday, while the $40,000 to win, $2,500 to start 'Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals' will headline the weekend on Saturday night, October 3. The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand throughout the October 1-3 weekend to tape the wheel-to-wheel competition at the 1/2-mile venue for broadcast in a few weeks.
