| September 3, 2009 Billy Moyer Preps for Huge Labor Day Weekend After Notching Top Five in Bluegrass Classic! (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team traveled to the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky over the August 28-29 weekend for a pair of SPEED Channel-taped Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events. On Friday night at Lawrenceburg, Billy Moyer finished fourth in heat race action, which earned him the outside seventh row starting spot in the $10,000 to win main event. The Batesville, Arkansas native climbed inside of the top five late in the 50-lap race, but unfortunately caught the wicked cushion wrong on the final lap. Billy's #21 entry wound up head-first into the turn two wall and he was relegated to a disappointing fifteenth place performance. At Bardstown on Saturday evening, things went much smoother for the #21 team. Billy was strong during qualifying and later ran second to Brandon Kinzer in his competitive heat race. After starting eighth on the grid in the 60-lap, $10,000 to win 'Bluegrass Classic,' the driver known as "Mr. Smooth" was able to work his way by three cars before the track took rubber. When the track turned one-lane, Billy was forced to ride in line, as he finished in the fifth position behind winner Ray Cook, Chris Wall, Dale McDowell, and Brandon Kinzer.
