| August 22, 2007 (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his #21 team traveled to the nearby Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas over the weekend for the 15th Annual 'Comp Cams Topless 100.' The driver known as "Mr. Smooth," who was aboard his Victory Circle #21 machine, qualified eighth fastest in time trials on Friday night, August 17 and later won his competitive heat race. The Batesville, Arkansas native then ran second in the pole dash on Saturday evening, August 18 to earn the outside pole position for the $46,000 to win A-Main. Billy battled up front throughout the 100-lap affair with Jimmy Owens, Rick Eckert, Jimmy Mars, and Terry Phillips amongst others. After 100 green flag racing laps around the nearby 3/8-mile speedplant, Billy found himself claiming a $20,000 payday for his runner-up effort to Jimmy Mars in this year's 'Comp Cams Topless 100.' "Everybody was racing really hard early in the race and we probably ran a little too hard. (Jimmy) Mars probably had the best car anyway, but when he had that flat around the halfway point, that actually turned out to be a good thing for him. I was pleased with how the Victory Circle car performed and if we keep tuning on it, I think it is going to be a really good car for us." The Billy Moyer Racing team will trek to Illinois and Missouri this week for a trio of $5,000 to win Mid-America Racing Series (MARS) / UMP co-sanctioned events.
