| August 13, 2009 Billy Moyer Strong at West Liberty and Florence; Topless 100 Awaits #21 Team (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 Dirt Late Model team entered a pair of high-profile races last week in the states of Iowa and Kentucky. On Tuesday night, August 4, the West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa played host to a $10,000 to win unsanctioned event. Billy won his heat race and later posted a strong runner-up effort behind winner Brian Birkhofer in the 'Tornado Tuesday' show. Following West Liberty, the action quickly shifted to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky for the 27th annual running of the 'North/South 100.' Billy timed in third quickest in Group B during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying on Friday night, August 7. When the dirt-slinging competition resumed on Saturday, Billy won his competitive heat race to earn the sixth starting spot in the $50,000 to win 'North/South 100.' During the course of the SPEED Channel taped race, Billy raced all over the top ten before winding up in the eighth position. Next up for the #21 team will be the 17th Annual 'Topless 100' at the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again sanction the biggest topless Dirt Late Model event in the country, as a $40,000 payday is on the line. Qualifying and heat race action will take place at Batesville on Friday night, August 14, while the last chance races and the 100-lap main event will headline the weekend on Saturday evening, August 15.
