| July 24, 2009 Billy Moyer Racing Prepares for Batesville Doubleheader this Weekend (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team invaded a pair of St. Louis area venues last weekend (July 17-18). On Friday night, the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois played host to a $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series show. Billy Moyer won his competitive heat race and later started from the outside of the front row in the 'Budweiser 50.' In front of the SPEED Channel cameras in the feature, Billy led the first circuit before giving way to Shannon Babb. He was then running third on lap fourteen when his #21 entry suffered a flat left rear tire and Billy later retired in the twentieth position. The dirt-slinging action quickly shifted to the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening for a $5,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series event. After running second in heat race action, the Batesville, Arkansas native once again finished second in the A-Main behind winner Randy Korte. Billy will stick around the house this weekend to compete in a doubleheader at the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. The MARS and MSRA Series will co-sanction a $2,000 to win show tonight, July 24 at BMS and a $2,500 to win event tomorrow night, July 25. Billy will also be using the track time to gear up for the upcoming $40,000 to win 'Topless 100,' which will be held at Batesville next month.
