| July 22, 2010 Billy Moyer Earns Pair of Top Fives in Lucas Oil Series Action! (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on July 16-17 for a pair of $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdowns. On Friday night at Granite City, Billy laid down the fastest lap in his group during qualifying and later won his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the front row in the 'Budweiser 50,' Billy battled towards the front throughout the 50-lapper before settling for a strong runner-up performance behind winner Earl Pearson, Jr. At Wheatland on Saturday evening, the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team competed in the 'CMH Diamond Nationals,' which also boasted a $10,000 top prize. After running third in his stacked heat race, Billy started the 50-lap main event from the ninth position. The Batesville, Arkansas native pointed his Victory Circle by Moyer racecar to the front in the A-Main and rallied past five competitors en route to a fourth place finish behind only winner Jimmy Owens, Chris Wall, and Earl Pearson, Jr. You can view complete results from both SPEED Channel taped races by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com. The BMR team has elected to take the upcoming July 23-24 weekend off from racing action and will most likely take the July 30-31 weekend off as well.
