(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team made the decision late last week to stay around home over the weekend to compete in a pair of $2,000 to win Midsouth Racing Association (MSRA) events. On Friday night, July 13, Billy won his B-Main, but suffered motor problems in the feature event at the nearby Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. Following the disappointing nineteenth place performance at Batesville, the action then turned to the Poinsett County Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas on Saturday evening, July 14. "Mr. Smooth" started from the outside of the fifth row for the A-Main and was able to advance six spots throughout the race en route to a fourth place performance behind winner Bill Frye, Jeff Taylor, and Kyle Beard. "We had a pretty good car last weekend, but we really didn't get a chance to show it," commented the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer this week. "At Batesville, we had some motor problems in the feature and then at Harrisburg, I really needed a caution to catch up with the leaders. But, it was good to be able to spend some time with Billy, Jr. at the track and help him out, as well as learn some things on our own car."

The Billy Moyer Racing team has two big Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events on their upcoming weekend schedule. On Friday, July 20, the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois will play host to a $10,000 to win show. The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand Friday at the St. Louis area venue to tape all of the exciting action for broadcast later in the year. The second race of the doubleheader weekend will occur on Saturday, July 21 at the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri and another $10,000 top prize is up for grabs.
