| July 17, 2009 Billy Moyer Wins Ninth of the Season at Magnolia; Turns Attention to Granite City and Wheatland! (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his #21 Dirt Late Model team reached victory lane for the ninth time in the 2009 racing season on Saturday night, July 11 at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi! The cars and stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series were on hand at "The Mag" to do battle for a $10,000 top prize. Billy qualified well, won his heat race, and led virtually every circuit of the 50-lap main event to reach the checkers first ahead of Chris Wall, Earl Pearson, Jr., Jimmy Owens, and Steve Casebolt. The star-studded race was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for broadcast later in the year. A night earlier, the BMR team was in the pit area at the North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama for a $7,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race. Billy once again won his competitive heat race and started the feature event from the inside of the second row. The Batesville, Arkansas native ran up front throughout the A-Main and finished in the third position behind winner Don O'Neal and runner-up Earl Pearson, Jr. You can view complete results from the doubleheader weekend by visiting www.lucasdirt.com. "It was a good weekend for us," simply stated the soft-spoken Moyer earlier in the week. "There wasn't a whole lot of passing at North Alabama on Friday night, but we were able to stay up front and finish third. Then at Magnolia, that place was super racy throughout the night. Our car worked real well and we were able to hold those guys off. I have to thank all of my great sponsors for their support, as well as my crew for all of their hard work week in and week out." The #21 team will now turn their focus to two more Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series shows this upcoming weekend. The Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois will play host to a $10,000 to win series event tonight, July 17, while the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri will do the same on Saturday evening, July 18. The cameras of the SPEED Channel will once again be on hand in Granite City tonight. You can learn more about these races by logging onto www.lucasdirt.com.
