Billy Moyer Claims NALMS Checkers at Paducah; Readies for Dream at Eldora!

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing team entered a pair of Northern Allstars Late Model Series (NALMS) events in Kentucky and Missouri on May 29-30 and walked away with a victory and a runner-up performance! On Friday night at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, Billy Moyer won his heat race to earn the outside front row starting spot for the 40-lap main event. The Batesville, Arkansas native rocketed to the lead at the drop of the green flag and led all forty circuits en route to a commanding $5,000 triumph over Bill Frye, Randy Korte, Randy Sellars, and Terry English.

At the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri on Saturday evening, the NALMS gang sanctioned another $5,000 to win show. Billy laid down the fastest lap during qualifying around the St. Louis area venue and ran second in heat race action. After starting fifth on the grid in the A-Main, the driver known as "Mr. Smooth" picked off three cars en route to a runner-up effort behind winner Randy Korte. You can view complete results from both races online at www.dirtondirt.com.

"We were pretty good the other night at Paducah and just off a tick at Pevely on Saturday," quoted Moyer this week. "Running up front was great, but it was also nice to race around home, so that I could get ready from the Dream out of my own shop. I haven't done that in I don't know how many years, so hopefully that little extra preparation will pay off for us this weekend at Eldora!"

The #21 squad will now focus their attention on the highest paying Dirt Late Model race of the year. The famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio will hold the 15th Annual 'Dream 100' on Friday and Saturday, June 5-6. The winner of the 100-lap crown jewel event on Saturday evening will pocket $100,000. Billy has made nine 'Dream 100' starts in his career and picked up the $100,000 top prize back in 1998. NASCAR star Denny Hamlin was scheduled to drive a Billy Moyer Racing prepared car tonight, June 3, in the 5th Annual 'Prelude to the Dream,' but the all-star charity race was postponed until September 9 due to rain and inclement weather.
