| May 16, 2007 (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and the Billy Moyer Racing team are coming off a very busy week, as they competed in three high-profile Dirt Late Model events in three different states. The action got underway last week on Wednesday, May 9 on the 1/4-mile oval at the Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa. Billy was fifth fastest in World of Outlaws Late Model Series time trials and later finished second in his heat race. The Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer then rolled off from the outside of the third row for the $10,000 to win A-Main and wound up ninth in the final rundown following the conclusion of the 50-lap race. The action then turned to the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12 for the inaugural running of the $25,000 to win 'Superchips Diamond Nationals.' Billy set fast time of the sixty entrants during the qualifying session on Friday, May 11, as he toured the Wheatland oval in 14.838 seconds. He then won his heat race to earn the sixth starting spot in the 100-lap A-Main on Saturday. During the course of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned feature event, Billy hung around the top ten and eventually was credited with a respectable eighth place finish. The marquee Dirt Late Model event was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for viewing later in the year. The #21 team's busy week concluded on Sunday, May 13 with another World of Outlaws Late Model Series show, this time at the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois. Billy was ninth quickest in qualifying prior to winning his heat race. After starting from the outside of the third row for the $7,000 to win, 40-lap feature event, Billy was able to gain one spot en route to a fifth place performance. On Wednesday, May 16, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series will host a $10,000 to win show at the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. Billy will then pick back up on the Lucas Oil Late Model Series schedule over the weekend in a pair of events in Iowa and Illinois. The Farley Speedway in Farley, Iowa will hold a $10,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series race on Friday, May 18, while the LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois will do the same on Saturday night. The Batesville, Arkansas native is currently leading the heated Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point battle following the 'Diamond Nationals' last weekend.
