| May 15, 2009 Billy Moyer Moves Past Twenty-Four Cars at Wheatland; Big Weekend Ahead! (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team traveled to the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri last weekend for the third annual running of the 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again presided over the mega-event, which boasted a $30,000 top prize. Qualifying was pushed back a day because of inclement weather, which meant that the entire program was run on Saturday, May 9. When the #21 did take to the track on Saturday, Billy finished sixth in his competitive heat race and seventh in his B-Main. Fortunately, the Batesville, Arkansas native was able to fall back on a series provisional to gain access into the 75-lap main event. Prior to the 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals,' the BMR team decided to unload their back-up car for the A-Main. In front of the SPEED Channel cameras, Billy primarily used the bottom groove of the 3/8-mile facility to work his way by twenty-four competitors en route to a remarkable third place performance behind winner Brian Birkhofer and runner-up Dale McDowell.
