| May 7, 2009 Billy Moyer Racing Readies for Wheatland Following Runner-Up at West Liberty (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Weather chased the Billy Moyer Racing team north to the West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa on Saturday night, May 2. An unsanctioned event was held at West Liberty and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs. Billy Moyer laid down the second quickest lap during qualifying and later ran third in his competitive heat race. After winning the dash, Billy rolled off from the pole position in the 'Banner Valley Hauling 50.' The Batesville, Arkansas native swapped the lead a couple of different times with Brian Birkhofer early in the 50-lap main event before eventually settling for a runner-up performance behind Birkhofer. The #21 team will now turn their attention to the $30,000 to win 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals' at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri this upcoming weekend. The two-day extravaganza will take place on Friday-Saturday, May 8-9 and Billy comes into the weekend third in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings. The cameras of SPEED Channel will be on hand to tape the event for a 2-hour broadcast on a date and time to be announced in the future.
