| May 2, 2009 Billy Moyer Third in Lucas Oil Series Points; Changes Schedule Due to Weather (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team trekked east last weekend (April 24-25) for two more exciting rounds of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition. On Friday night, the Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania hosted a $10,000 to win show. Billy Moyer won his heat race in preliminary action and later drew the fifth starting spot for the 50-lap main event. During the course of the A-Main, Billy was able to pick up a couple of positions en route to a strong third place performance behind winner Jimmy Mars and runner-up Brian Birkhofer. Next up for the #21 team was a trip to the legendary Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland on Saturday evening. Billy qualified well and later won his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the front row, "Mr. Smooth" paced the stout field for the first thirty circuits before breaking a torque arm brace. The five dollar part cost Billy a shot at the $10,000 top prize in the 'Stanley Schetrompf Classic' and relegated him to a twenty-second place finish. The Batesville, Arkansas native currently finds himself third in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point battle following the weekend.
