Billy Moyer Scheduled to Enjoy Rare Weekend Off Following Busy Week Out East…

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing team has chosen to take the April 25-26 weekend off from Dirt Late Model competition and is unsure of their racing plans to open up the month of May as well. The #21 team is currently undecided whether they will enter the pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series shows in Missouri on May 3-4 or the two Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at the Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on May 2-3 or some combination of both. Keep up-to-date on the latest schedule plans for Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team online at www.billymoyer.com.

Billy is coming off a very busy week in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, as the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer competed in a pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series races. He captured his tenth feature win of the 2008 racing season on Tuesday, April 15 at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Billy won his heat race in preliminary action and then led laps 4-50 of the 'Showdown in Sarvertown' to record the $10,000 triumph over Shane Clanton, Chub Frank, Steve Francis, and Rick Eckert!

The action then turned south over the weekend to the pristine Dirt Track at the Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina for the 3rd Annual 'Colossal 100.' The World of Outlaws Late Model Series once again sanctioned the action at the state-of-the-art Charlotte-area venue over the weekend. Billy Moyer paced the stout field in WOOLMS qualifying on Friday night, April 18, as he set a new track record by laying down a lap of 14.672 seconds around the 4/10-mile oval.

Later on Friday, Billy earned a convincing heat race victory, which transferred him directly into the $50,000 to win A-Main on Saturday, April 19. After drawing a number twelve prior to the 100-lap main event, Billy rolled off from the outside of the sixth row for the 'Colossal 100.' He hung around the top ten throughout the race and was running in the sixth position on lap 64 when he stopped on the track to draw a caution flag because his car's hood began to flap up due to a broken hood pin. After not returning to the track, "Mr. Smooth" was relegated to a disappointing twenty-first place performance. You can view full results from both Lernerville and Lowe's online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.
