| March 28, 2007 (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing team, with veteran Dirt Late Model pilot Billy Moyer behind the wheel of their #21 C.J. Rayburn machine, invaded Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama over the weekend for a trio of 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series shows. Following an early race wreck and a disappointing twenty-fourth place finish on Friday evening, March 23 at the Baton Rouge (LA) Raceway, Billy got things turned around in a big way on Saturday, as he claimed the $10,000 top prize at the Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi! The Batesville, Arkansas native timed in second fastest for the 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series event and later won his ultra-competitive heat race. Billy then drew a number one following the heat races, which allowed the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer to roll off from the pole position of the 50-lap A-Main. Steve Francis got the jump on Moyer in the early laps at the "Baddest Bullring in the South," but Francis succumbed to a broken rear-end only four laps into the race. Billy was able to take the point on lap five and held off all challenges for the remainder of the race to capture the $10,000 payday ahead of Rick Eckert, Chris Madden, Chub Frank, and Shannon Babb! The win was Billy's second of the 2007 racing season, as he won a $3,000 to win Western Allstars Series event at the Bakersfield (CA) Speedway on March 10. After the $10,000 victory at the Columbus (MS) Speedway on Saturday, March 24, the Billy Moyer Racing team invaded the North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Sunday evening for the final event of their tripleheader 360 OTC World of Outlaws Late Model Series weekend. Billy set a New Track Record in qualifying for the $7,000 to win show at the northern Alabama speedplant and later finished second in his heat race. The driver known as "Mr. Smooth" then rolled off from the outside of the third row for the 40-lap A-Main, but immediately started his march to the front. After forty green flag racing laps, Billy registered a strong runner-up performance to winner Earl Pearson, Jr.! You can read about all three races over the weekend online at www.worldofoutlaws.com! "It was a pretty good weekend for us," quoted the mild-mannered Moyer via telephone this week. "We got involved in that wreck on Friday night, but the rest of the weekend was a lot of fun. The crew worked really hard to get the car repaired from Friday and it paid off, as we were strong at both Columbus and North Alabama. This new C.J. Rayburn car has performed very well since we unloaded it a couple of weeks ago at Kentucky Lake. I have to thank all of my great sponsors for all of their support and hopefully we can continue running up front throughout the 2007 racing season!" Billy and the Billy Moyer Racing team are set to tackle the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana this Saturday, March 31. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the tenth annual 'Indiana Icebreaker,' which will be highlighted by a $10,000 to win, 75-lap feature event.
