| February 24, 2009 Billy Moyer Wraps Up Successful Start to 2009 Season in Georgia and Florida! (BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing team is feverishly working on regrouping from a busy two-and-a-half week stint in Georgia and Florida. Billy Moyer entered fifteen Dirt Late Model events from January 29 - February 14 at three different southern venues: Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Georgia), East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida), and Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida). In all, the Hall of Famer amassed one victory, seven Top Five finishes, and ten Top Ten performances. While Billy was fast at both Golden Isles and Volusia, he was exceptional during the annual 'Winternationals' at East Bay. The Batesville, Arkansas native won a $5,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series show at the Tampa area venue on February 4 and finished a strong runner-up on four other occasions. Billy left the Sunshine State leading the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings, although he has no plans of following the tour on a full-time basis in '09. "It was nice to get that first win of the year and we came close on several other occasions, but wound up second. The #21 team will take a few weeks off before returning to Dirt Late Model action on March 6-7 at the Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky. The 'March Madness' program at KLMS will feature a $5,000 to win show on Friday night and a $7,500 to win event on Saturday evening.
